Alcohol Awareness accredited training Level 3
Who is the awarding body? The Albert Centre is a government approved provider of training and is proud to deliver in partnership with the National Open College Network, Alcohol Awareness certificated training. The Albert Centre is recognised throughout Teesside, Cleveland and North Yorkshire as a specialist substance misuse charity, with over 30 years experience. Many organisations have accessed our training and consider it to be fundamentally important to equip staff with the knowledge and skills they need when working on a 1:1 basis with individuals who abuse alcohol. How long is the course, what does it cover and what additional support can I expect? We drink for a multitude of reasons and this course explores some of the reasons and our relationship with alcohol. This one day course covers:
A further half day is run approximately 10 days later for portfolio support/guidance. The course will be delivered to a maximum of 12 participants, thereby allowing safe discussions and for maximum learning to be achieved. What do I need to do to achieve the award? In order for participants to achieve this award, a portfolio of evidence will need to assimilated. A reasonable standard of literacy will be required to achieve this award. Our Trainers will be happy to discuss the requirements for this award and will offer full support as required. This course is equivalent to 2 credits in the OCN qualification framework. Courses are run every 2 months or can be delivered as required for block bookings. This includes all course materials, registration, assessment and certification. Training can be held at The Albert Centre’s training room or on your premises. |
