  • Hangovers alone are calculated to cost businesses £1.5bn
  • 60% of workplace deaths are alcohol related

  • We can expect a 33% reduction in productivity is an employee abuses drugs
  • Drug users will be late 3 times more than the average worker
  • They are 4 times more likely to hurt themselves or others whilst at work
  • They are 10 times more likely to take sick days

Aims:

  • To help managers develop a company drugs and alcohol policy
  • Identify and deliver your training needs in support of your drug and alcohol policy
  • Provide training to help your organisation manage the misuse of drugs and alcohol

We aim to train your employees on:

  • Alcohol  and /or drug awareness
  • The health risks associated with alcohol and drug misuse
  • The potential dangers of being under the influence of substances whilst at work
  • How to access help and support
  • As part of the training we will offer any employee (who has attended the training course) free confidential counselling.  Please note employers will not be informed of the details of any employee who requests counselling.

Who is the course aimed at?

 The course is aimed at all employees to provide general information and awareness about drugs and alcohol. Information packs are provided.

If required, specific education, training, discipline and support programmes can also be provided to managers and supervisors to help them to recognise problems and deal with the consequences.

How long does the course last?

A general alcohol awareness course can be held over one day. A further drug awareness course is available if needed.

How much does the course cost?

The fee is negotiable depending on the number of courses, number of attendees and the venue.

Where is the course held?

Courses can be held at your workplace or alternatively we can arrange a suitable location.
