(ACTC).  

Who are we?

We are a Government approved provider of training and as such we take that endorsement very seriously.   We pride ourselves on providing  interactive and highly commended training courses for everyone, whether they be civil servants, the 3^rd Sector or the Corporate sector and whilst our courses deliver a serious message, there is no reason why the learning can’t be fun.

Many of our courses are accredited with the National Open College Network (NOCN) and as such can be accumulated to be a stand alone qualification.

ACTC is part of The Albert Centre charity which is one of the most highly respected drug and alcohol organisations in the North East.  Since The Albert Centre began in 1979, we have been supporting vulnerable adults through one of the most difficult periods of their lives and from that solid foundation the Albert Centre’s Training Centre has been developed and grown into a very successful and respected department of the organisation.

All of our trainers are highly qualified and offer a wealth of experience both inside and outside the drug and alcohol field.

Our courses are very practical, fast paced and packed with information into the shortest possible time frame for what we feel does the subject justice.  We don’t believe in ‘stringing out’ courses to fit a whole day.  Every one of our courses is crammed with information right up until the course finishes.  We appreciate that training is a luxury and if it’s not seen to be beneficial to the individual and the organisation then this is rightly viewed as a waste of time, effort and money.  Be assured, our courses often receive accolades such as ‘the best course they have ever been on’ and ‘I wish I’d known this years ago’.

Whilst our base is in Middlesbrough, we can provide our courses anywhere in the country.
