What’s so great about volunteering at the Albert Centre?

The Albert Centre offers volunteering opportunities in a number of roles across the organisation, ranging from administration to support workers to second year Counselling Diploma students. All roles are offered on the job training and an extensive package of off the job training. All volunteers are eligible to take the OCN accredited Alcohol Awareness level III award.

Volunteers are allocated a mentor, who will support them, throughout their placement.

Volunteer Counsellors, are able to secure hours that are essential for their University Course

Volunteer Support Workers are given the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the substance misuse field that will enable them to have first hand knowledge when seeking permanent employment in this field.

Ex-Service users often find volunteering to be a rewarding and fulfilling role that helps them on their role to recover.
